Every one of our buildings are crafted by hand in our workshop, with the utmost care and attention. We build to order to ensure you get the perfect building for you.
From helping you tailor your order to be just right, all the way through to post-installation support, our friendly team are with you every step of the way.
A.T. Sheds was founded by father and son Thomas and Alan Fradgley over 25 years ago, and to this day operates with a small team. Your order really makes a difference to the livelihood of every-day working people.
All of our buildings are manufactured to order. If you don't see a size that suits your needs please contact us. Door and window placements will be discussed once your order has been placed, in addition to any extras you may require.
Buildings made with 13mm tongue and groove timber are treated with a water-based preservative. Buildings made with 19mm tongue and groove are tanalised/pressure treated.
All of our buildings must be installed on a solid and level base. This prevents the building from sinking and warping over the many years we hope you enjoy it. Any solid and level base is fine, but most common are concrete pads, slabbed areas and wooden decking or framework.
Your base must cover the full footprint of the building. The base can be bigger though we don't recommend the base being significantly bigger than the building as water may hold and rest against the wood.
We can install a timber-framed base manufactured from 4x2 pressure treated timbers at an additional cost. Our timber bases can only be purchased alongside one of our buildings. If you would like us to provide this service please contact our team.
As a small business our only premises is our workshop where our buildings are manufactured. All customers are more than welcome to visit our workshop to view the quality of work and to meet our team. If you would like to visit please call us to arrange an appointment.
All of our standard buildings fall within building regulations and therefore should not require planning permission. If you require extended height on your building and that height is more than 2.5 metres you may be required to obtain planning permission. We recommend you speak to your local council if this is a concern to you. A.T. Sheds cannot give legal advice on this issue.
We do not offer a warranty with our buildings. Manufacturing errors, whilst very rare, should be apparent within 4 weeks of the building being fitted. If any manufacturing errors become apparent we will return to your property free of charge to rectify any issues.
Although all of our buildings are treated, neither the water-based preservative nor the tanalised treatment are waterproofing solutions. We recommend you treat the building with an oil-based preservative as soon as the building has been fitted and is completely dry. We also recommend regular maintenance every 12-18 months with an oil-based solution thereafter.
